Meet Dr. Samuel Jamieson from Jamieson Health Center

For more than 25 years, Dr. Samuel Jamieson has helped adults and children improve neurological function, physical health, and overall quality of life through an integrated brain–body approach to care.

His work is based on a simple principle: the brain and body function as an interconnected system. When underlying patterns affecting regulation are identified and addressed, improvements often occur across multiple areas of health at the same time.

A PERSONAL JOURNEY INTO HEALTHCARE

Dr. Jamieson's path into healthcare began after a personal injury during college that resulted in persistent neck pain, back pain, and headaches.

After experiencing the benefits of chiropractic care firsthand, he became interested in understanding how the body heals and adapts. Although he initially pursued a career in finance and became a licensed CPA, his experience ultimately led him to change professions and pursue a career in healthcare.

That decision eventually led to the creation of Jamieson Health Center.

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Dr. Jamieson earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic–West in 1997.

Prior to chiropractic, he earned a degree in Accounting from San Jose State University and worked for one of the world's largest accounting firms as a Certified Public Accountant.

Since entering practice, he has continued to pursue advanced training in a variety of disciplines related to brain–body health and human performance.

His post-graduate studies include:

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Clinical Nutrition

Functional Neurology

• Brain–Body Assessment Methods

• Integrative Health Approaches

He is an active member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) and continues advanced studies in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute.

HOW HIS CLINICAL APPROACH EVOLVED

Early in practice, Dr. Jamieson observed that many patients with chronic or complex health concerns did not fit neatly into a single diagnosis or treatment category.

This led him to explore how neurological function, physical structure, nutrition, stress physiology, and lifestyle factors interact within the same individual.

Over time, his clinical focus evolved toward identifying patterns affecting overall system function rather than focusing exclusively on isolated symptoms.

This systems-based perspective became the foundation of the clinic's current brain–body model of care.

CLINICAL PHILOSOPHY

Dr. Jamieson believes that meaningful improvement often begins with understanding how multiple systems are interacting.

His evaluations may consider factors such as:

• Neurological regulation

• Structural balance and movement

• Nutrition and metabolism

• Stress physiology

• Lifestyle and environmental influences

Dr. Jamieson recognizes that emotional stress can influence neurological, structural, and physiological function. When appropriate, he incorporates approaches designed to identify and address stress-related patterns that may be contributing to chronic symptoms.

The goal is to identify factors that may be limiting function and create a personalized plan that supports adaptability, resilience, and long-term health.

CONTINUED LEARNING

Healthcare continues to evolve, and so does Dr. Jamieson's approach.

He regularly participates in continuing education focused on functional neurology, brain–body systems science, nutrition, and integrative clinical methods.

This ongoing training helps ensure that patient care continues to reflect current understanding of neurological regulation and human performance.

BEYOND SYMPTOMS

Dr. Jamieson's goal is not simply temporary symptom management.

His focus is helping patients improve how their brain and body function so they can experience better energy, resilience, cognitive performance, physical function, and overall quality of life.

When appropriate, care may integrate multiple perspectives and tools to support the individual as a whole rather than focusing on a single symptom or diagnosis.
