BRAIN-BODY CARE
A systems-based approach to improving how the brain and body regulate and function together.
A SYSTEMS-BASED APPROACH
Most health concerns are not isolated problems — they reflect how the brain and body are regulating together as a system.
At Jamieson Health Center, we focus on understanding why the system is not functioning optimally, rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
We evaluate health through three core regulatory domains:
Neurological regulation – how the brain processes, organizes, and adapts information
Structural and sensory-motor function – how posture, movement, and physical input affect neurological signaling
Metabolic, inflammatory, and stress physiology – how nutrition, inflammation, and stress affect regulation
When these systems are better aligned, the body is more capable of adapting, recovering, and maintaining stable function.
This framework guides how we evaluate each person and helps determine the most appropriate starting point for care.
HOW CARE BECOMES PERSONALIZED
Every individual presents a different pattern of brain–body regulation.
Rather than using a fixed protocol, we first identify how the system is functioning and where regulation is being disrupted.
Care is then designed based on what the system needs most.
This may include:
Functional neurological evaluation
Brain-based assessment of regulation and stress patterns
Structural and movement analysis
Metabolic and nutritional evaluation
The goal is not to apply multiple therapies — but to identify the most effective entry point for restoring better system function.
Depending on the findings, care may incorporate functional neurology, neurofeedback, nutritional support, applied kinesiology, primitive reflex integration, and other brain-body approaches when appropriate.
Care plans are individualized and may evolve as the system adapts and responds over time
HOW IMBALANCES CAN SHOW UP
When brain–body regulation is disrupted, symptoms often appear across multiple systems.
Common concerns include:
Focus and attention difficulties
Stress and emotional regulation challenges
Chronic tension or pain patterns
Sleep and fatigue issues
Dizziness or sensory sensitivity
Digestive or inflammatory symptoms
Developmental or learning challenges
Post-concussion or neurological symptoms
Persistent or unexplained “multi-system” issues
Because the brain and body operate as an integrated system, improvements in regulation may influence multiple areas at once.
The goal is improved overall function and adaptability — not isolated symptom management.
EMOTIONAL STRESS & NEUROLOGICAL FUNCTION
The nervous system is influenced not only by physical and biochemical factors, but also by emotional stress patterns.
Past stressors, unresolved emotional responses, and chronic stress physiology can affect how the brain and body regulate function over time.
As part of a comprehensive evaluation, we may assess whether emotional stress is contributing to neurological, physical, or physiological patterns and incorporate appropriate brain-body strategies when indicated.
The goal is to improve overall regulation and resilience rather than focusing on symptoms alone.
Choose your Starting Point
Because every brain–body system is different, care begins by identifying the most appropriate entry point.
Most patients fall into one of three paths:
OPTION 1
NEUROFEEDBACK PATH
For brain regulation and performance concerns
Best for:
Focus, attention, ADHD-type symptoms
Anxiety, stress, or emotional regulation issues
Sleep or cognitive performance concerns
Autism or developmental support
Start with:
qEEG Brain Map + Neurofeedback Evaluation
OPTION 2
BRAIN–BODY CARE PATH
For complex physical + neurological patterns
Best for:
Chronic or unresolved symptoms
Neurological or structural imbalances
Multi-system issues (energy, digestion, immune, hormonal)
Pain or post-injury dysfunction
Start with:
Functional Brain–Body Evaluation
OPTION 3
NOT SURE
If you're unsure which path fits best, start with a brief consultation and we'll help guide you.
We will help determine the most appropriate starting point based on your history, symptoms, and goals.
