Advanced Neurofeedback

When your brain works, your body responds.

What to expect.

Advanced Neurofeedback therapy can help you

·         Improve your emotional balance

·         Reduce your headaches

·         Sleep better

·         Get rid of your chronic pain

·         Address OCD and anxiety

·         Improve focus and attention

·         Stop depression

·         Curtail autism and ADD/ADHD

JK’s story.

“After one month of NeuroIntegration, I noticed a dramatic improvement. Instead of my normal pattern of self-blame and anxiety, I found myself focusing on specific things I could do to proactively manage difficult situations. There was NO anxiety. The change in me is profound because something unwanted is just gone.”

Our process.

The therapy is offered as a step by step process described as follows:

FIRST VISIT:

*        Step 1 – Assessment

After you schedule your first appointment, we will email you access to our Advanced Neurofeedback website and ask you to fill out a physiological, cognitive, emotional and social assessment. This will also be used to track your progress as you will update a customized symptom assessment every 5 treatment sessions.

*        Step 2 – Consultation

Dr. Jamieson will conduct a detailed and comprehensive consultation, discussing your condition and history, former treatments, your diet and evaluate whether Advanced Neurofeedback is a good fit for you.

*        Step 3 – Establish a baseline with a pre-treatment qEEG Brain Map

In order to understand how your brain currently functions and how it affects your behavior, we will create a pre-treatment qEEG map of your brain. Future brain maps can be compared with this baseline to identify your progress. qEEG data from this map will be used to guide your treatment sessions, which makes Advanced Neurofeedback more effective than just using subjective symptoms.

            Discuss Brain Map report and treatment options

On your next appointment, we will discuss the qEEG brain map report and recommend treatment options. We have several treatment packages to choose from, including prepay discounts.

The brain map will also identify if any metabolic issues impact your brain. Especially gluten, casein, trans fats, other chemical toxins and sugar cause havoc and inflammation in the brain and inhibit the effectiveness of neurofeedback. Dr. Jamieson may suggest a quick exam to check for any food sensitivities and may recommend dietary changes and nutritional supplements to maximize the success of your neurofeedback treatments.

SUBSEQUENT VISITS:

*        Step 4 –Treatments

Treatment will be started in subsequent visits. We recommend treatments twice per week with at least two days in between. Sessions last about 45 minutes.

·         The treatment uses photic stim lights to stimulate left and right brain hemispheres separately, which makes it possible to entrain one side of the brain and suppress the other.

·         Continuous feedback rewards the brain when it does good and the brain learns to undo the bad.

·         You will watch your favorite movie or listen to your favorite music. This rewards the brain when it produces healthy brain waves, but the movie or music stops when abnormal waves are detected.

*        Step 5 – Re-Evaluate with post-treatment qEEG Brain Map

After the last session and when symptoms have changed, we will process a new qEEG brain map. Using pre- and post-treatment qEEG maps and your assessment forms, Dr. Jamieson will evaluate your progress and, if needed, make any changes.
