Advanced Neurofeedback
When your brain works,
your body responds.

How does it work?
Contrary to common belief, the brain
can change. Over the last decades, neuro-scientists have found that the
brain is actually quite plastic and has the ability to both physically and
chemically change IF given the proper stimulation.
Weak and slow areas of your brain will
actually get larger and faster with proper stimulation. Spaces between
cells get smaller and new connections will grow. As a result, the new
connections in a weak area of your brain can reconnect with the more mature
cells on the functioning side and get back into rhythm. New brain
plasticity is created and your brain begins functioning as a whole.
Neurofeedback can stimulate and
normalize the brain. It is simply biofeedback applied to the brain
directly, measuring electrical brain activity with an EEG.
Lorna’s story.
“Over the past nine years, I’ve
tried just about every protocol offered to relieve the symptoms of chronic
fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia: medications, up to 90 supplements a day,
acupuncture, three months of nothing but water, sprouts, seed and wheat
grass, detox cleansing diets, meditation, yoga, exercise, chi gong—the list
was endless. NeuroIntegration has been, by far, the most effective. It
reduced my pain by 95%, and restored my sunny disposition so that I could
actually enjoy life once again. For the first time in nine years, I was
pulled out of the darkness and into wellness.”
Why is Advanced
Neurofeedback different?
There are different types of
neurofeedback therapies, dependant on the system that is used to administer
the therapy. Our advanced neurofeedback therapy
uses Clear Mind Center’s cutting-edge innovative technology: it combines
brain mapping with neurofeedback and photic stimulation and can train left
and right brain hemispheres independently.
This means that unlike standard
neurofeedback, Advanced Neurofeedback uses
·
data from a qEEG brain map to guide the treatment,
not subjective symptoms
·
a qEEG map integrating qEEG data with a cognitive,
emotional, social and metabolic analysis
·
photic stim lights to stimulate left and right
brain separately while training
·
continuous visual and auditory feedback to retrain
left and right sides of the brain independently
·
in addition to one channel protocols, two channels protocols
to train different brainwave frequencies up and down simultaneously and
independently on each hemisphere
We also address metabolic issues
impacting your brain, which would otherwise inhibit the effectiveness of
the training.

qEEG brain map.
The automated qEEG brain map allows us to look “inside”
your brain and make an accurate diagnosis. The map report represents a
comprehensive analysis of your cortical function. Alpha, beta, delta and theta brain waves are
analyzed along the dimensions of magnitude, dominant frequency,
connectivity and asymmetry.
In addition, the map interpretations suggest areas of
potential cognitive and emotional problems typically associated with
specific map profiles.
Our emotions are a reflection
of the rhythms in our brains: excess beta can produce anxiety; too much
frontal alpha could result in depression or ADD.
Before your first visit, you will take a computerized
assessment which rates your symptoms. The qEEG brain map compares those
symptoms with the findings of the map interpretation. This allows us to
track your progress and show you before and after results.
The qEEG map provides a series of
NeuroIntegration protocols customized for your condition. These protocols
are designed to correct dysfunctional brainwave frequencies and correct
areas of hypo- (under) or hyper- (over) stimulation. We can train different
frequencies at the same time up and down on each hemisphere independently.
Neurofeedback uses operant conditioning.
Our system works through
operant conditioning, an innovative way to train your brain. When a part of
your brain is operating in an unhealthy way with a frequency too fast
(hyper) or too slow (hypo), your brain can learn to normalize the activity
of that area.
Signaling your brain through
photic stim lights allows it to learn to create healthy brainwave patterns
more efficiently. Continuous feedback for both left and right hemispheres retrains
the brain to reduce unhealthy activity and stay within healthy ranges.
Eventually, the brain learns to remain in the functional pattern and is
able to sustain healthy activity independently.
This multi-sensory approach
interrupts ineffective mental patterns. Your central nervous system learns
how to self-regulate, directing you away from debilitating, painful,
destructive disorders, into effortless processing and optimal
functionality, reclaiming your well being.
Once the brain is optimized,
it can also control your body in a more effective way. The systems in your
body start working better and many symptoms disappear.
